Marcus Samuelsson 10-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set Review

Marcus Samuelsson 10-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the 10-piece stainless steel cookware set and a 10" open stock skillet about one month ago. My wife and I have been very pleased with this cookware. Our previous cookware was Calphalon Commercial Hard Anodized, made in Toledo, Ohio. We were very pleased with the Calphalon cookware. In fact we have given those pots and pans to our sons for their own kitchens. However, I wanted to switch to multi-ply stainless steel cookware for some time. Our previous hard anodized aluminum cookware responded very quickly to changes in temperatures. However, my wife and I have found that multi-ply stainless steel heats up and cools down slightly slower than hard anodized aluminum. In fact these multi-ply pans retain heat more like cast iron. Following the directions to use medium heat settings has given us very good results. Soaking in water and using Bar Keepers Friend stainless steel cleaner has made clean up very easy.
It was very important for me to purchase cookware made in the U.S.A. or to be more accurate, I wanted to avoid "Made in China" cookware. I'm not opposed to Chinese cookware. I just have found, in my research, that current Chinese made cookware lacks consistent quality control. I considered All-Clad stainless steel, however the price was prohibitively high. When I discovered Marcus cookware made in U.S.A. by Regal Ware, I was excited that the price was easier on the wallet. I had some questions about this cookware and sent emails to Regal Ware. Chris Robason, National Sales Manager for Regal Ware, answered each of my emails very promptly. He assured me that Marcus Cookware, including the lids, were made in West Bend, Wisconsin. Also, he informed me that Regal Ware is going to add open stock pieces to the Marcus/Unity line of cookware. The Regal Ware website already shows a new 12" saute pan has been added to this line of cookware.
The Marcus/Unity cookware is very high quality. The stainless steel, aluminum tri-ply construction heats evenly, is very sturdy, and has good, balanced weight. The brushed, stainless steel handles are very comfortable. I really like the helper handles on the sauce pans. The lids fit very well and have enough weight to sit firmly on the pans. Also, knowing that Regal Ware is going to add more pieces of cookware to the Marcus/Unity line shows their commitment to providing quality, reasonably priced, American made products. The only improvement I would recommend, is to add a rolled edge to the pans for easier pouring.
**Update** The Marcus Cookware by Regal Ware has been replaced by American Kitchen Tri-Ply by Regal Ware. I was informed by Regal Ware, that the new American Kitchen Tri-Ply cookware is identical to the Marcus Cookware. I noticed on the Regal Ware website that a 12" / 30cm Covered Sauté Pan, a 3 QT / 2.8L Covered Every Day Pan, and a 3 QT / 2.8L Steamer insert has been added to the new American Kitchen Tri-Ply collection. I also noticed that the 2 QT / 1.9L Covered Sauce Pan no longer has a helper handle that was on the Marcus cookware version of this pan. In my opinion, the lack of a helper handle isn't really necessary on this small pan.

Emeril Stainless Steel Saucepans Review

I just received this item from Amazon and wanted to give my initial impression. I bought a set of Emeril cookware from BBB over 2 years ago. It has stood up very well and I have been very pleased. So much so I wanted to expand my collection. This piece arrived and almost immediately upon opening it I realized it was not of the same quality as my existing pieces. The metal is noticeably thinner. The lip gave it away for me. I felt along the lip and realized it was rolled over to give it the appearance of being thicker. None of my existing pieces are rolled like this. Holding it along side an older 3Qt piece I can tell it is lighter. I just fear that like many products that were once of very high quality, corners may have been cut to increase profits. Can't blame them, but buyer beware - ymmv.
I must state that I haven't yet cooked with it or cleaned it. I hope to revisit this review once I have done so.

has only been 1 month since the purchase, but I love it. Also own a couple of All Clad fry pans, which I hate to use because everything sticks to them. With Calphalon, there are no stains on the bottom from gas flame, and although they are not DW safe, they are so-oo-oo easy to wash! The cookware is a little heavy, but I'm used to carrying my kid around, so that was not a problem for me. As for the price - I think it's OK, considering it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Revere 7-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Bottom Cookware Set Review

Revere 7-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Bottom Cookware Set

I've had this set of pans for ten years now, and they have served me well. In fact, they are still just as good as new. Before that, I used non-stick pans but never again. They just begin to flake, and you have to be so careful about the utensils you use. I regularly use the 10 inch skillet to make scrambled eggs in, with virtually no sticking. You just let the pan get hot before pouring in the eggs and use a good stainless steel spatula. The customer service has been excellent with these pans. After about nine years, one of the lid pulls came off and customer service sent out a new one--no problem. These pans are also very durable and easy to clean. I have been known to burn things and after one mishap, my husband said, "you might as well throw the pan away. You are never going to get that clean." I just used a little steel wool and it was as good as new. You can't do that with non-stick. If you are just starting out, on a limited budget, and want a good set of pans that will last you quite some time, this is the set to buy.

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set Review

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-Piece Cookware Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been using the Cal One 10" fry pan for about 3 weeks.
Replaced an All-Clad stainless non-stick that I finally killed after about 3-1/2 years of tough, almost daily use. Wanted a pan that was as easy to use as non-stick, as durable and tough as SS, and cleaned up like new with little effort. Well -- its comes very close.
Have used it to make breakfast sunday morning, saute veggies and cook skirt steak in the broiler -- all with metal utensils.
I pay good money for quality equipment, not because its some yuppie fashion accessory to be displayed on the wall, but because I like to cook and don't want to be concerned about "not damaging" my equipment while cooking --- I know its going to be abused so it pays off long term for me to buy better quality up front.
So far I've been very impressed. This is a solid, durable product. Surface doesn't scratch, it can take the heat, and cleans up well with some soaking. I think folks who are very tough on equipment will like it.
Weaknesses -- Material is low stick, but not completely non-stick. While things don't stick like SS, they don't slide as nicely as a non-stick w/o some oil in the pan. So I feel that some cooks like me will still want a good regular non-stick pan for certain things -- it's not going to be "One" for everyone.
It is also not 'quite' as responsive to changes in heat as the All-Clad Copper Core and SS. However, the differences are so slight that I just don't see any advantage of a traditional SS/Copper pan given this material's other benefits and easy clean up.

This Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-piece cookware set combines the best qualities of traditional metal and nonstick cooking surfaces. The revolutionary sear-and-release technology coupled with hard-anodized aluminum construction gives you efficiency and control over your cooking. An advanced release polymer is infused in the cookware’s surface, unlike nonstick coatings that sit on top of the metal, to minimize sticking and make cleanup easy. The cookware won't stain, peel or react with acidic ingredients, and promotes uniform searing and browning. Durable enough for use with metal utensils, Calphalon One cookware is safe for gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops, and is safe in the oven and broiler. The domed stainless-steel lids fit snugly, and the riveted stainless-steel handles stay cool on the stovetop and comfortable in your hand. The infused anodized cooking surface releases foods easily during cleanup, and can be washed with hot soapy water and a sponge (but not in the dishwasher). All Calphalon One cookware carries a lifetime warranty.
What's in the Box 3-quart chef's pan, 4-1/2-quart saucepan, 11-inch chef's skillet, 8-quart stockpot (all with lids); 10- and 12-inch fry pans From the Manufacturer Infused Anodized Cookware
Calphalon One is revolutionary hybrid cookware that combines the best qualities of traditional metal and nonstick cooking surfaces. Calphalon One lets you sear, sauce, and cook exactly the way you want without sticking, staining or tough clean-up.
By means of an exclusive, breakthrough anodization process, interior and exterior surfaces of the pans are infused with an advanced release polymer. Unlike nonstick coatings that simply sit on top of metal, this material actually penetrates below the surface, into the pores of the metal. The infused anodized cooking surface offers superb durability and versatility in the kitchen.
Exceptional searing
Heavy-gauge, highly conductive Calphalon One sears foods quickly and evenly. Meats and poultry brown and develop rich flavor and texture on the cookware's infused anodized surface. Browned bits on the bottom of the pan (called "fond") form readily. Calphalon One is ideal for deglazing and making pan sauces. Extreme durability
Use any utensils you like--including metal--when cooking with Calphalon One. The infused anodized cooking surface won't scratch or peel. Crafted from heavy-gauge aluminum, Calphalon One withstands high temperatures without warping. Pans feature flared rims for extra strength, too.
Cooking versatility
Calphalon One is ideal for virtually any kitchen and any cooking technique you can name. It's compatible with gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops and safe for use in both the oven and the broiler.
Easy, reliable release
Infused with an advanced release polymer, the Calphalon One cooking lets you control when foods release from the bottom of the pan. You'll experience considerably less sticking with Calphalon One than with traditional metal cooking surfaces--and you'll cook with more confidence.
Quick clean-up
Hot, soapy water and a dish cloth--that's all you need to keep Calphalon One sparkling clean. The infused anodized cooking surface releases foods as easily during clean-up as it does while you cook. To keep your cookware looking new, occasionally clean it with a Scotch Brite pad and Barkeeper's Friend cleanser.
Classic vessel shapes
Like the classic French cookware that inspired its shapes, Calphalon One vessels are designed to deliver optimal results with specific cooking techniques. Calphalon One is constructed from heavy-gauge aluminum and features flared rims for protection against wear and tear and to facilitate pouring. Ergonomic handles and contrasting stainless-steel covers bring both greater versatility and beautiful style to the cookware. Cool comfort handles
Triple-riveted and ergonomically balanced, the contoured handle stays comfortably cool for stovetop cooking. The stainless-steel handles are carefully balanced and proportioned to make cooking with every Calphalon One pan comfortable and convenient.
Resists Stains
Calphalon One cookware offers stain resistance to even the toughest foods. Both interior and exterior surfaces of the cookware are infused anodized to resist staining and make cleanup even easier.
Lifetime warranty
Calphalon One Infused Anodized cookware is covered by a Lifetime Warranty. Calphalon will repair or replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions. Minor imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight color variations are normal. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning, overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other unapproved cleaners, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in commercial establishments.
Before You Cook
Wash your new pan and cover in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry. Do not season your pan before using it. To enjoy optimum performance from your Calphalon cookware, keep it scrupulously clean. Any kind of oily residue on your pan can cause foods to stick.
Heat Settings
Use a lower heat setting than you normally would. Calphalon cookware heats and cools more quickly than other cookware because it's made of heavy-gauge aluminum. It's important to use the right heat setting for the cooking method you're using. Experiment to find the right heat settings on your stove.
High heat for boiling or reducing liquids only.
Medium to medium-high heat for sautiing, stir frying, and frying.
Low heat for warming food, simmering, and preparing delicate sauces.

Stove-Top Use
When sautiing, stir-fryig or frying, always preheat the pan at the temperature setting you'll use to cook. Preheating provides maximum control. The pan is properly preheated when the rim is hot-to-the-touch. Do not preheat on high. For cooking techniques such as sautiing, stir frying, or preparing an omelet, preheat at medium to medium-high.
Oven & Broiler Use
Infused anodized pans can be used in the oven and under the broiler. They are designed to go from a hot broiler to a hot oven and will withstand hot temperatures without warping. Handles will become very hot in the oven or broiler. Always use a potholder or mitt.
Cleaning and Care
Do not clean Calphalon One Infused Anodized cookware in a dishwasher. Dishwasher detergents will damage the surface. Dishwasher use will void your Lifetime Warranty. Hand wash your cookware thoroughly inside and out after every use. Wash with hot, sudsy water and a dishcloth or sponge. To restore your pans to "like new" condition, wash with a green Scotch Brite pad and Bar Keeper's Friend. Pay special attention to rinsing when you use Bar Keeper's Friend; without careful rinsing, the cleaner may occasionally leave a powdery soap film.

Do not use oven cleaners or other caustic cleaning solutions, baking soda, automatic dishwasher detergent, liquid bleach, liquid household cleaners used for walls, floors, porcelain, etc.
Always allow your pan to cool before washing. Submerging a hot pan in water can cause irreparable warping.
For stubborn burnt-on spots, allow your pan to cool then soak in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes. Burnt-on foods will lift off after soaking.
To restore shine to stainless-steel covers, wash with a dish cloth or sponge and Bar Keeper's Friend.
Because Calphalon One is hand-crafted cookware, you may notice subtle variations in the pans' finish. These "character lines" are perfectly normal--a natural result of the manufacturing process.

Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware Sets Review

Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware Sets
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had the 10 piece set for a little over a month now, and I can honestly say I love it! And let me tell you, I cook ALL the time - 7 days a week, and at least 2-3 meals a day. So figure I have used these pots/pans at least 60 times by now. I have cooked everything from rice to steaks to vegetables, soups, pastas, sauces, and even things as delicate as eggs! The bottom heats very evenly, and quickly, and the handles DO NOT get hot, which was very surprising for me. Before I purchased, I was willing to accept the fact that I was more than likely going to have to deal with hot handles, as is the case with most stainless steel cookware, but with these I was pleasantly surprised. Even after being on the stove over high heat for a long period of time, the handles are still cool! But that is not to be confused with the handles on the lids - I find that the handles on the lids may become very warm after prolonged exposure to heat, but that it is generally to be expected if lid handles are not rubber coated, but that doesn't bother me in the least.
To me, the weight of each individual piece of cookware is just perfect - heavy enough to feel sturdy and durable, but light enough for me to comfortably lift and move them with one hand while cooking (assuming I don't have something heavy in them). That is something that was very important when considering cookware. I know a lot of people say "the heavier, the better, because that means it is better quality"...but seriously, I don't want to have to use 2 hands and develop forearms like Popeye just to lift a pan from one burner to another. Yeah, I need something durable and practical, and this set is it for me.
To the person saying that the lids do not fit correctly, I have had no problems with rice(or steaming vegetables and such)cooking properly. From my experience, the lids keep the moisture in very well.
And to anyone who has never owned a stainless steel cookware set, and is hesitating because of the "NOT non-stick" factor - here is a tip that converted me to stainless steel forever - heat the SS pan directly on the burner, and get it nice and hot - to the point where if you put a drop or two of water directly in the pan, it will bead up and dance and glide around bottom. When it gets to that point, remove from the heat source, (or you can turn down the heat while it is still on the burner, but it will take longer), and let it cool off slightly - enough to where it wouldn't burn butter if you added it. Return back to the burner and turn heat down to medium(more or less, depending upon what you are cooking), add your butter/oil, and whatever you are cooking, and Voila! - non-stick! It has to do with getting the pan getting so hot that the heat causes the metal to microscopically expand and fills up the tiny pores in the steel that food would normally sink into while cooking (sticking). But then you have to to turn it down to your actual cooking temp so things do not burn, and while doing so, the steel will remain expanded until the pan is completely cooled. That is advice passed on from experienced, professional chefs.
Anyway, overall, this set is beautiful, functional, and of great quality. Even "if" this set wears out in 10 to 30+ years down the road, I will definitely be buying another one.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10- and 12-Inch Omelet Pans, Set of 2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased a two pack of the 8 and 10" skillets from Macy's this past summer. All my pans work great. I find they are a bit like cast iron. Once they heat up (on medium), they retain their heat and cook evenly. I use medium heat, and can often get by with med-low. No warping or flaking yet. (The key is to not use any more heat than necessary - excessive high heat can ruin most skillets) I also got a griddle which is the Calphalon One Infused Anodized - their top line. I love it as well, and would purchase either again. I went mostly with the Contemporary line due to lower price. Be sure to read the packaging to see what line you are getting, as they have several lines out there. There is the 'infused anodized' and the 'hard anodized', nonstick and without the nonstick, etc.
Check out their website for more information.

This pan along with several others I have acquired from the Calphalon Tri-Ply line is fantastic. Great weight and balance, superb craftsmanship, the glass lids fit snugly and most important of all, the pricing is terrific. I got this set for Christmas last year and have used them heavily. I replaced a set of Wearever that I bought from a friend who was selling them door-to-door in the 1960's. They were heavy aluminum lined with stainless and wonderful to cook with, but they were showing their age and my new kitchen needed something really good looking on the stove in the island. These cook as well or better than my old pans. They are identical in cooking characteristics to the two pieces of AllClad with copper that I also have. And, they are drop dead beautiful! They still look new after a year of heavy use; the insides polish up nicely with Bar Keepers Friend.

The time-honored tradition and attention to detail make BonJour's cookware a perfect fit for the culinarily adventurous--and why it's used in the famed Le Jules Vernes restaurant at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. With its bold silhouettes, generously appointed fittings and exceptional performance, they will be your favored culinary tools as well. This 10-piece copper clad cookware set includes 1-1/2- and 3-quart saucepans (each with lid), 3-quart saute pan (with lid), 8-quart stockpot (with lid), and 8- and 10-inch open skillets.
Clad metal construction is the preferred fabrication by professional and home chefs alike. The interior layer of each pan is crafted of pure 18/10 stainless steel which is non-reactive and doesn't adversely affect the flavor of delicate ingredients or subtle sauces. The exterior is made of magnetized steel which is induction suitable and polished to a beautiful mirror finish. The key to clad cookware is the heat conductive metal core layered in between the stainless steel throughout the entire pan, and the Thermo-Enhanced Base is 44 percent thicker than traditional copper core cookware providing superior heat distribution control. The high domed lids provide extra capacity and fit snugly to create a self-blasting oven which seals in flavor and nutrients. The cast stainless steel handles are ergonomically designed for comfort and permanently riveted to withstand the rigors of restaurant use. Dishwasher safe. Backed by a lifetime guarantee.

I looked at different brands of stainless cookware before purchasing my LeCreuset and here are some of the features the others don't have that sold me on the LeCreuset. The pans nest evenly inside one another. The design of the handle allows the lid to fit into the handle. These pans are heavy - the extra handle is a big bonus when you have a full heavy pan to lift or move. I love the stainless lids that come with this cookware. The steamer insert (purchased separately) fits THREE different sizes of pans, comes with it's own glass lid, too. All of the pots have measurements on the inside walls for easy measuring (especially when reducing liquid).
This cookware, heats and cooks everything very evenly. These pans are very easy to use and clean. I have experienced some bluish discoloration that I am not happy with, but I am assured that it is only cosmetic and does not adversely affect the cookware.
This is great cookware, designed to last a lifetime of good hard use in the kitchen. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for excellent quality clad stainless cookware.

We bought this stainless steel pan to retire our non-stick fry pan. What we needed was a great value and fair price and induction compatible pan because we were planning to install an induction stove. Came across this pan and did a little research, seemed like it has everything we looking for, and it turned out to be a great choice. Not only the bottom of this made of triple layer metal, the sides are too. Most other cookware of the similar price, the sides are thin, only one layer of steel. We love the stainless steel handle, it stays cool during cooking and very comfortable to hold in hand. There are not a lot cookware offers these features, MultiClad Pro (MultiClad is not induction compatible, it has to be MultiClad Pro) and All Clad, maybe a few more? If you haven't used All-Clad pans, you've missed a cooking experience. The thick aluminum core gives unmatched even heating, while the stainless steel cooking surface provides a worry-free cooking surface. Though the brushed aluminum outer surface can stain somewhat (the LTD line avoids this), All-Clad's Master Chef is the most cost effective way to enjoy the All-Clad cooking experience.

All-Clad Stainless-Steel Braiser Review

All-Clad Stainless-Steel Braiser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have several all clad pans and they are all nicely built and work great, including this one. I am giving this pan only 3 stars mainly because I don't think the design is very good. I see several people have left good reviews but for the life of me I find very little reason to ever us this pan.
I should premise that I bought this pan to replace an old revere type skillet my wife has had forever. I use this old pan all the time. It is 12" diameter at the top and has rounded sides (rather than splayed) like the new all clad french skillets. OK, back to this pan, so I splurge for it. Upon 1st inspection, the bottom surface area on this 13" braiser is the exact same as my old 12" cheap skillet. In other words, the sides on this thing are splayed so dramatically that you're losing an entire inch of surface area on the bottom of the pan. OK, wells that's good for frying I guess but I never fry with this, the sides are low and grease gets everywhere and I don't feel like screwing around with a splatter screen every time I want to brown 6 chicken thighs.
If I want to brown and then braise 6-8 pieces of chicken, or beef for a french stew, I always end up using my le creuset dutch oven. If I poach salmon I always grab the cheap 12" skillet. If I make risotto I use the cheap skillet. If I make any type of pasta sauce and then finish with the pasta in the pan I use the cheap skillet since the sides are a smidge higher. For me, the only actual regular use this pan gets is as a glorified roaster for a whole chicken, something I do 5-10 times a year.
I don't want to make is sound like I have a personal vendetta against this pan, but I'm just not impressed with the design and I would not buy it again. You get a small cooking surface area with a large storage space requirement. Ask yourself what you are going to use it for. You can get a decent roasting pan for $40. (who cares if it's tri-ply when you're roasting, if you need to make gravy afterwards just pour the juices in a saucier or saucepan) IMO, the new all clad french skillet design is nicer. I bought my 13" braiser before they were on the market so I didn't have that option to consider, but I probably would've gone that route. Too bad they didn't make a 12" french skillet, until someone does, I'll still be using my old one.

The 13"-diameter braiser is terrific for pot roast or osso bucco. The 10"-diameter size is great for bean dishes and braised vegetables. Designed for slow cooking in a small amount of liquid, it has a wide, flat bottom for quick browning, sloped sides to concentrate the cooking liquid, and a domed lid to capture flavor and nutrients. With low-profile, space-efficient loop handles, this beautiful pan can go from stovetop to oven to table. All-Clad's leading cookware line is brilliantly styled with a hand-polished gleaming stainless-steel finish that many of the world's professional and home chefs prefer. The 18/10 stainless-steel interior will not react with your food, leaving the pure taste you desire. Emerilware Pro Clad Stainless Steel Tri-Ply 12-Piece Cookware Set Review

Emerilware Pro Clad Stainless Steel Tri-Ply 12-Piece Cookware Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm just a guy who likes to cook. The Berndes teflon sauce pans that I've been using for years were starting to deteriorate, and I knew I wanted to replace them with a set of stainless steel clad cookware. As much as my ego wanted All Clad or Demeyere, I just couldn't justify the cost. After a lot of research and store trips, I decided on the Calphalon Tri-Ply set. Deciding to make one last attempt to kill any buyer's remorse, I made one more trip to Bed Bath and Beyond just to be sure. That's when I spotted the Emerilware Pro-Clad set (this is the fully-clad line, not the original line with the heavy disk welded to the bottom). I should say I'm not really a fan of Emeril -- he's just another TV personality to me. I rarely watch his shows, and I've never eaten in his restaurants. If anything, I'm the kind of person who would avoid celebrity endorsed products.
Enough with the caveats. I wasn't crazy about the handles on the Calphalon set. Too skinny and short for my hands. When I grabbed the Emerilware sauce pan, it was instantly very comfortable in my hand. The handle is much beefier than pretty much any other SS cookware I picked up. Performance-wise, the handles stay cool on the stovetop (I have a glasstop). Even the loop handles on the stockpot were cool enough to pick up and drain a pot of spaghetti. Love the handles. The pieces have a slight heft to them without being unwieldy. I have a couple of old monster fry pans, and these are very easy to manage in comparison. Good weight and balance. Also, liquids pour nicely off the rolled lip.
I've had no problem adjusting to SS after using teflon for a lot of years. I use olive oil or canola oil, and have had no problem with food sticking or burning. I love the saute pan for searing steaks, chicken, and pork chops, then throwing it into the hot oven to finish. Back on the stovetop (using a pot holder, duh), a little bit of chicken broth or wine deglazes the pan and makes a quick an easy sauce. I find that I use all of the pieces in the set on a regular basis. The steamer is useful as we prefer to steam our veggies. If you follow the instructions and keep an eye on the heat, these things clean up with absolutely no problem. Any residual discoloration or stubborn bits come right off with Barkeepers Friend.
I deducted one star for the following small gripes: I would have preferred SS lids instead of glass, even though I haven't run into any drawbacks with the glass. Next, the Pro-Clad line is somewhat limited compared to other brands. I picked up the largest (3 qt) saucepan to round out the set -- I would have preferred a 4 qt with an extra loop handle, but it' not offered. I'm hoping the manufacturer adds other choices to the line over time. It would be nice to have a matching saucier or wok, for instance. Lastly, I've noticed that the frying pan is warped very slightly, maybe 1/16", so that it rocks a little bit on the glasstop. I didn't notice if it came out of the box this way, or warped slightly from the heat of the stove. It doesn't seem to affect the performance anyway. All of the other pieces are perfectly flat on the bottom. I inspected all of the pieces for burrs, and found them all to be perfectly smooth.
In summary, my wife and I are really pleased with our purchase of the Emerilware Pro-Clad set. It works great and looks great. We expect them to give us many years of great food.

Cook with confidence when using this reliable cookware set. Offering a variety of everyday essentials, the 10-piece collection consists of a 10-inch fry pan, a 1-1/2-quart covered sauce pan, a 2-1/2-quart covered sauce pan, a 3-quart covered saute pan, a 6-quart covered Dutch oven, and a steamer insert. Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Nonstick 10 Piece Set Review

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel Nonstick 10 Piece Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a Calphalon Adonized non-stick user for years,
I was thrilled to see Calphalon come out with a dishwasher safe version
In the Contemporary Stainless steel non-stick
I did not purchase this product from Amazon because I needed it sooner than the 4-6 week wait time listed, otherwise I would have.
I felt the need to post a review however, through Amazon, because
people are posting that Calphalon actually LIES and that if you put the Stainless steel cookware in to the dishwasher it will void the lifetime warranty.
That is UNTRUE I contacted Calphalon and was told ALL of their Stainless
Steel line is dishwasher safe and cleaning it in the dishwasher DOES NOT void the warranty. - a note all of their "Simply Calphalon" cookware line has a just a 10 year warranty
Now as I had previously written I have been a Calphalon user for many years, perhaps people are getting confused with the "original" Calphalon which is the Hard-Adonized with nonstick and without and is still available today.
The Hard-Adonized is absolutely NOT dishwasher safe and putting the HA cookware in the dishwasher WILL totally void the warranty.
Now the comments on the CONTEMPORARY STAINLESS STEEL NON-STICK
These pans are a dream to cook with and clean and Calphalon had made some improvements having the stainless steel line not only is it dishwasher safe it happens to be a bit lighter weight wise (the original Calphalon) is reasonably heavy and they have now also made the handles a cool touch version a GREAT improvement!
As a note Calphalon has also done this cool touch handle on their CALPHALON ONE line of HARD ADONIZED non-stick cookware
(also highly recommended by me)
As the "ONE" also offers a smaller set of eight pieces and is about 100 dollars less (then the 599 for the 10 piece Stainless) But the" ONE" set is handwash only.
So for all of the other people thinking of buying Calphalon's
new offering of stainless steel Non stick
Let your dishwasher do all the work.
Thanks for your time
