(More customer reviews)I am going to steal the words of another reviewer: I love, love, LOVE this little pot! Pour spouts?!?!? A strainer in the lid?!?!? This isn't rocket science! Why don't more pots have these thoughtful features? Oh how I so wish there were pour spouts on my Calphalon Contemporary pots!
I did feel that I needed to knock off a star for the handle. It has an inverted or indented channel running down the middle, and it just doesn't feel comfortable or stable in my hand. Not a big deal on a pot this small, but if you're considering a larger Emeril pot, I would strongly encourage you to handle one in person before investing. This might be more a matter of personal preference, but when handling large, heavy, hard-anodized pots, I feel that having a secure, stable, and comfortable grip is important. The only other hard-anodized pot close to this size with pour spouts and strainer lid that I have seen was a 2 quart pot made by Cuisinart; I disliked the handle on that pot even more. If the strainer lid is not important, there are more options. If hard-anodized is not a requirement, check out the highly review and well-priced Faberware Classic one quart pot with strainer.
As for durability, I have used this Emeril pot at least once a week on a glass-top stove for the past three months, and it still looks and functions like it is brand new. As for the long haul, I check back in the future with an update.
