(More customer reviews)Although mine came pitted in several spots, understand that this is an "open" wok, indicating its shallow depth. Thus it requires more oil to cook with, a larger BTU burner to heat, doesn't steam as effectively as expected, and holds less food than the Lodge 14" cast iron wok. This is a pretty wok on TV, but its practical use is limited and over time will cost you more time and energy/fuel with which to cook. Though cast iron woks such as Emeril's claim to be pre-seasoned, a wok takes time to properly season, so expect things to stick at first. If you're shopping for a cast iron wok, I'd strongly recommend the Lodge 14" Pro Wok over Emeril's version. The Lodge wok is deeper, thicker, and will last a lifetime of daily cooking.

This cast iron Wok is 14 inch in diameter and features a wide, flat base, ideal for cooking on any cooktop. Wide, ergonomically designed handles allow for control even with pot holders or mitts. High heat base and heat retention sidewalls work perfectly to sear at base and keep warm along the sides. Through seasoning and repeated use, this wok's surface becomes virtually nonstick.
