The flat whisk is ideal for sauce-making as it breaks up lumps while reaching into pan corners. The handle is unusually designed in that it is not round but flat, with a concave hollow for your thumb to rest in and a convex back around which to wrap your remaining fingers. The fit is suprising comfortable.
