I have a glass top electric oven and I heated up the pan on medium heat to saute vegetables and then increased it to high heat as soon as I started adding the meat. The pan seemed to hold itself well under these circumstances. No burns on my meat. Great for big family style dinners. I would recommend this to anyone who cooks for a family of 4++.
